Course Descriptions
| This hands-on, foundation-level course covers the essentials of AutoCAD Civil 3D, including how to work with point data in AutoCAD Civil 3D, create and analyze a surface, develop a site, and model roads, corridors, and pipe networks, as well as import and export data. Hands-on exercises throughout the course explore how to create 2D and 3D production drawings. |
| Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Land Desktop or AutoCAD |

| This is a hands on class that exposes students to the features of Civil 3D. The course takes students from the start of a project through to the end. Starting off by bringing in points and from there they are taken through a design where they build an existing surface then design a road. Once the road is designed they will produce cross sections and volumes. Finishing off the training will be pipe design and some basic grading. Topics include: – Points, Surfaces, Parcels, Alignments, Profiles, Assemblies, Corridors, Pipes and Grading. |

| This 1 day class covers the grading features of Civil 3D. Students will use the grading features to create items such as Lagoons, Parking Lots, Retaining Walls, Multi Level Lots. Topics include: – Feature Lines, Grading Objects, Edit Feature Line Elevations, Edit Feature Line Geometry, Surfaces, Infills, Transitions |

| This 1 day class covers the piping features of Civil 3D. Students will create their own Parts List that includes different Pipes and Structures. When the parts list is complete they will then draw Pipe Network. To finish off the design the Pipe Network will be taken into Hydra Flow Storm Sewer Extension. Topics include: – Pipe Networks, Parts Lists, Part Builder, Structures, Pipes, Labeling Pipe Network, Hydra Flow Express, Hydra Flow Storm Sewer Extension |
