Style Creation for AutoCAD Civil 3D

Many clients have put off implementing AutoCAD Civil 3D because they don’t feel the program outputs the way they need it to. The outputs are all controlled with Styles. Civil 3D ships with some standard sets of styles but these styles aren’t always what a client wants. Surveyors Exchange Co., in conjunction with Robert Gadbaw, is offering for a limited time to create a set of Styles for your company for $5600. The turnaround time for these styles is typically 2 to 3 days. If you have any staff members attending our upcoming Civil 3D training this would be a perfect time for them to use their own set of styles during the class.

If company chooses for us to do their styles we need the following.

  • 2 sets of digital plans. These plans will be used to create similar looking styles. They must include existing and proposed examples of alignments, surfaces, profiles, pipes, etc.
  • A layering standard if the company currently has one. If no layering standard currently in place the National CAD Standard will be used.

If interested please contact Chris at 561-6501 x225 or at chris@tse-ak.com

Source Drawings and Queries

Registration is limited to 20 people. Please register now as sessions fill quickly.

We will show you how multiple users can access, search, and edit the same sets of DWG files or base maps simultaneously. This efficient and reliable way of working collaboratively with DWG-based information reduces the need for version control and minimizes time spent waiting to access drawings.

You will also see the use of queries to create subsets of objects using conditions and to display the result of a query in different ways. We will present two advanced query techniques, combined query types and property alterations.  You can combine, location, property, object data, and SQL conditions to form compound criteria queries.

Features discussed:  Drawing attachment, queries, alter properties, preview/draw/report modes, drawing aliases

Please join us Friday, May 21, 2010 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Surveyors Exchange Training Center for an informative demonstration on these features presented by Robert Anderson, TSE Applications Engineer.

Lunch will be provided!!

If you have any questions for Robert Anderson please feel free to contact him at 561-6501 ext.207 or robert@tse-ak.com
